Speak up

from the CD Single.

Amy “Dolly” Everett was the victim of bullying and ended her young life at just 14 years of age. ‘SPEAK UP’ was inspired by the words Dolly penned before she took her own life; “Speak even if your voice shakes”.

Tom, also from Katherine NT, wanted to raise awareness about bullying and the devasting impacts it leaves behind. He wrote the song with GARTH PORTER, who donated his studio and time and recorded the track in Sydney with renowned country music artist SARA STORER. TED HOWARD, the sound engineer also donated his time and expertise to the cause.

Tom organised two schools in Western Australia (where he was touring at the time), Pinjarra Primary School and Pinjarra Senior High School to be involved in the film clip and audio recording of the song. Pinjarra Primary School students can be heard on the recording of the SPEAK UP track and we think you would agree, they did an amazing job!

Dolly’s Dream has been established by her family and friends in her memory and will work to create positive change and help prevent the lives of other children being lost, and act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

All proceeds from the sale of ‘Speak Up’ will go directly to Dolly’s Dream. Speak Up can be purchased online or at…
