RAY MACARTNEY, a farmer come Australian singer/songwriter/entertainer who hails from the Southern Riverina near Finley, Tocumwal has just released his 7th album, FINDING INSPIRATION. Co-Produced with PAUL GIBBS at the Paul Gibbs Sound Studios in Albury, the album features contributions by Paul on several instruments along with some fine mandolin from Pete Denahy and harmonies by Treena Mannering.
The first single released from the album, FISHERMAN’S HABITAT, is a track which a lot of Aussie families will relate to. It’s about a typical Sunday at the river’s edge where Dad is fishing with his kids. “I’m not really a fisherman myself, but I had a picture in my mind the whole way through writing this. Being a very Australian pastime and not many fishing songs out there I thought here I go”.
