Rhiannon Cooke
Don’t Call Me A City Girl
from the Power Of A Woman EP.
DON’T CALL ME A CITY GIRL was co-written by RHIANNON COOKE and ALLAN CASWELL. This song was created from a conversation between the two about how at home they felt in the country.
They reflected on Rhiannon's childhood and memories of spending time at her uncle’s dairy farm. Rhiannon spoke very fondly of the life lessons she learnt, not only from coming from a small country town, but also through the lyrics of artists who inspired her, such as Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. Through the song Rhiannon and Allan were able to portray the freedom they felt in wide open spaces, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of city life.
DON’T CALL ME A CITY GIRL is the fourth single to be released from Rhiannon's Debut EP, POWER OF A WOMAN
