Sit With Me Tonight (1951)

from the The Album album.

The opening lines to Sit With Me Tonight (1951) are reminiscent of a wonderful life shared together. LANCE FRIEND found out his father had three months to live, bringing his world crashing down around him as he adored the life and partnership his parents had. Written from his father’s point of view to his mother, it was the late, great PETER HARVEY who encouraged Lance to play it to his Dad before he died of cancer and insisted 1951 should be part of the title. This superb track is another great co-write with BRAD MACLEAN and is beautifully produced by BRENDAN RADFORD. Sit With Me Tonight (1951) is the new single to be released from Lance’s album titled The Album, and is destined to touch hearts and become a favourite among Australian country audiences.
