Jeff Brown

Cry A Million Tears

from the Hard To Let Go album.

JEFF BROWN was raised on his family’s farm at Mt Tyson on the Darling Downs where, as a boy, he grew up listening to the old pioneers such as BUDDY WILLIAMS, TEX MORTON, RICK and THEL, GORDON PARSONS and, of course, SLIM DUSTY. These early influences helped to mould Jeff’s unique style of singing and desire to preserve the traditional Bush Ballad music. Since his recording career started back in 1996, Jeff has released 6 albums, winning a Golden Guitar in 2005 for Bush Ballad of the Year with Where The Yellow Kapocks Bloom. His latest album Hard To Let Go is a fine selection of songs recorded and produced by renowned guitarist STUIE FRENCH. Jeff is proud to say that Stuie has modernised the songs without losing the traditional bush ballad style. This new single Cry A Million Tears is a tongue in cheek song which highlights the habits of many “Australian Blokes”. The song was penned by BOB COOPER and Jeff is sure he’s studied the subject very well! This track is sure to raise a smile on the dial of many married couples!
