The Kid On The Kangaroo is taken from PETER COAD’s latest album Old Bush Mates released in April this year. The track was originally released on one of Peter’s earlier albums and, being a popular request over the years, the inclusion of this song on the new album brings this rollicking story to life once again for another generation to enjoy.
Old Bush Mates features 12 Australian story songs and is true testament to the talent of this superb bush balladeer. Inducted into the Tamworth Country Music Hands of Fame in 2007, Peter Coad is a true survivor in the Australian music industry, presenting his songs with a sincerity that only comes from one who has been there.
2011 sees Peter celebrating a very proud milestone of 50 years since his first live performance on Radio 5AU in Port Augusta in 1961.
