Jeff Aschmann

Pitjantjatjara

from the Forthcoming album.

Based in the South East region of Australia, JEFF ASCHMANN is one of the most diversified talents in this country, a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, banjo, ukulele and harmonica as well as foot percussion.

His songs have been used as educational resources within Australia and abroad, sung by choirs and schools, and used to fund environmental, social and human rights causes. Jeff’s new single Pitjantjatjara, highlighted by ANDREW CLERMONT’s moaning violin, is a song about the struggles faced by the western desert Aboriginal people.

In the past, these people wandered over vast areas of Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia but are now confined to only a few small communities in the desert. Over time, their lifestyle has changed forever!
