Gene Bradley Fisk
Boomer's Lullaby
from the Up North Down South Out West album.
The much anticipated new album from country music veteran GENE BRADLEY FISK is here at last! The first single Boomer’s Lullaby, penned by BRIAN ELKINGTON, is a tribute and nostalgic look back to the generation of the 1960’s and 70’s. Producer MICHAEL CRISTIAN ensures every nuance of Gene’s lived in vocals are captured on this album.
Tilling rich rural roots, Gene draws upon his ancestors and pioneers, revisits his RAAF overseas service, relives a tragic accident in the Otway Ranges, turns a Pentridge prisoners’ poem into song and ignites nostalgia by returning to towns where he combined dual careers behind radio and stage microphones. Awarded tunes Kidman and Midwinter Blues, as well as a superb new duet with daughter Donna, anchor the 12 song work on Up North Down South Out West. This is a fitting tribute to the talent of a master storyteller who has delivered Australian music to radio as DJ and performer in a career that has spanned six decades.
