Ever been accused of making a Bang Clatter Clatter? Independent Queensland-based singer/songwriter and Toyota Star Maker Finalist AMANDA HALLORAN knows this feeling all too well!
At the time this song was written, Amanda was working as a kitchen hand/waitress/barmaid at a pub and, having had a recent bout of pneumonia combined with a week in hospital, this time allowed her to think about how we all take life for granted and how similar it is to one giant carnival with each and every one of us playing our roles. Some days she would do dishes, singing to pass the time, all the while the baking trays piling up beside her were making a bang clatter clatter.
Amanda woke one morning with these words on her lips “let me off the merry go round - I think I am going to hurl” and from these 13 words Bang Clatter, Clatter was born!
