Graham Scobie Band

Granite Town

from the Granite Town album.

The GRAHAM SCOBIE BAND is based in the NSW south coast town of Moruya. Formed as BUSHLAND BOOGIE in 2001, they released a debut CD 100 Years Australia in 2002, the title song winning the 2004 TSA Childrens Song of the Year and the band was also a Top 10 finalist in the Golden Guitars Group or Duo Section that year. Graham also won an Australian Gospel Music Award in 2004 for his solo CD Aussie Gospel Bloke.

The new album Granite Town is a collection of works written by Graham and his wife, Michelle. It covers a variety of themes such as love, redback spiders and possums.

The infectious new single and the title track reflects the fact that Moruya provided the granite for the pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and various other monuments in that city.
